What We Offer

Built for the reality SAPS personnel face.

Rise in Blue offers confidential online support for SAPS personnel experiencing any form of domestic violence, or members seeking help for a colleague who needs a safe, private space to talk.

Support that is private, structured, and never exposed.

Rise in Blue is not a public service. It is a confidential pathway built specifically for SAPS personnel and their colleagues. Every conversation is held inside a structured, monitored support system handled by people who understand domestic violence, safety, boundaries, and the need for confidential help.

Four Pillars

What Rise in Blue provides.

Each pillar serves a specific purpose. Together, they create a full support pathway for SAPS personnel.

01

Legal Advice

SAPS personnel can ask questions and receive guidance from legal volunteers on domestic violence related processes, protection orders, SAPS internal processes, firearm implications under Section 102 and Section 103 of the Firearms Control Act, rights, remedies, and available options. Legal information is offered, but this does not replace formal legal representation.

02

Emotional Support

Trauma-informed counsellors, counselling interns, social workers, and trained support volunteers help create a safer space for SAPS personnel who need emotional support, guidance, and containment. Sessions are confidential. Sessions are private. Sessions move at your pace.

03

Professional Boundaries

Rise in Blue provides confidential support, legal guidance, and structured referral pathways. Legal information is offered, but this does not replace formal legal representation. Where matters require formal legal action or external referral, support is given to navigate the next step safely.

04

Who This Is For

For SAPS officers and personnel experiencing domestic violence, coercive control, harassment, financial control, emotional abuse, physical violence, sexual abuse, or breach of a protection order. Also for members seeking help for a colleague who needs a safe, private space to talk.

Support Spaces

After intake, you enter a structured support system.

Each space has a purpose. Each role is defined. SAPS personnel can receive one to one support, group support, or both, depending on what feels safest and what is needed.

Rise in Blue Core

SAPS personnel can be part of the support groups, receive one to one support, or use both depending on what is appropriate and safe for their situation. Every member moves through intake first, then enters the support pathway that fits their needs and safety.

Support Team

Rise in Blue is supported by trauma-informed counsellors, social workers, legal volunteers, attorneys, interns, and trained support volunteers. The purpose is to make sure SAPS personnel are not left trying to figure everything out alone. Support is structured, monitored, and guided by people who understand domestic violence, safety, boundaries, and the need for confidential help.

Legal Advice Space

SAPS personnel can join the legal advice space and ask questions. Legal volunteers offer legal advice and guidance on the Domestic Violence Act, protection order procedures, SAPS internal processes, firearm implications under Section 102 and Section 103 of the Firearms Control Act, rights, remedies, and available options.

Counselling

Trauma-informed counsellors and counselling interns offer confidential online scheduled sessions. This gives SAPS personnel a safer space to speak, be heard, receive emotional support, and start making sense of what they are facing without judgement or exposure.

Women Support Group

The women's support group is a private peer support space for survivors. It is safe, monitored, and informative. Members can receive support, share carefully, learn from others, and be reminded that they do not have to move through this alone.

Men Support Group

The men's support group is a private peer support space for SAPS men who need support, guidance, and a safer place to speak. It is monitored, respectful, and informative. One to one support can also be offered where needed.

Immediate Danger

If you are in immediate danger.

Contact SAPS Crime Stop, the Women Abuse Helpline, or report to any SAPS station. It does not have to be your own station.

Together In Healing And Justice

Start where you feel safest.

WhatsApp, email, or complete the intake form. The process is confidential, structured, and handled with care.
