Legal Advice and Support
At Rise Against Domestic Violence, we are committed to offering accurate, compassionate legal advice to individuals who do not have legal representation. We do not represent survivors in court, and we respect all professional boundaries by not intervening if you already have a lawyer. Our services focus on assisting survivors who have no access to legal advice.
We provide guidance and support across a range of areas, including:
Divorce matters
Domestic violence and GBV cases
Protection orders
Criminal matters, including assault
Assistance with SAPS cases
Support Groups and Information Access
We facilitate dedicated support groups via WhatsApp for survivors seeking legal guidance, as well as groups specifically for women and men. Through these groups, survivors gain direct access to practical information, resources, and a community of support.
Counselling Services
We ensure survivors have access to both outsourced and in-house online counselling. In partnership with trusted professionals, we help individuals work through trauma, build coping strategies, and move forward toward recovery.
Zenda-Lee Williams, Founder
“Life doesn’t always go the way we plan. Sometimes it throws us into situations we never asked for, and the weight of it all can push us right to the edge. If you’re there right now, please know you’re not alone.
My name is Zenda-Lee Williams. I’m not just the founder of Rise, I’m a survivor too. I’ve lived through domestic violence, narcissistic abuse, sexual assault, and even cybercrimes like revenge porn and hacking. I understand how heavy and dark it can get. I also know how hard it is to believe that life could ever feel safe or beautiful again.
But it can. That is why Rise exists, to remind you there is still hope, healing, and a way back to yourself. We’re here to help you see that your story isn’t over. There is so much more waiting for you beyond this pain.
If you need someone to stand with you, please reach out to us on WhatsApp. Whether it is legal advice, emotional support, or just knowing someone cares enough to listen, we are here. Our doors are open to everyone. We are inclusive, gender neutral, and LGBTQ+ friendly, because everyone deserves a life free from abuse and fear.
You don’t have to face this alone. Let us help you find your way back to a life that feels worth living.”
